Fetch!

These are some short films which i have been looking at.

"Fetch" http://www.bbc.co.uk/filmnetwork/films/p004v1mj

This short film is very effective and funny. It has a reccouring issue of the dog not wanting to fetch the stick. The film is only one minute in duration wheras our brief states that our short film should be five minutes long. It is computer animated similar to feature length films such as Disney's Toy Story.

The concept of this short film is very simple. After the dog refuses to fetch, he eventually retuns with an elderly ladies handbag, who gets very angry with the dog owner and hits him with various items, given to her by the dog.

The mise-en-scene of this short film is very simple, with the same simple background focusing our attention on the characters within the scene. The lighting is very bright and the colours are very vibrant which makes the film look similar to a childrens tv programme. The position of the dog during the film is very clever, showing his bordem and how he doesn't want to play fetch.

Overall i think that this short film is very simple and affective. The film is very funny and the animation works perfectly.
